Historic Grand Trunk Station watercolor painting by Robert Delaney in Yarmouth, Maine

Historic Grand Trunk Station

Here we have one of my favorite buildings in Yarmouth, Maine – the historic Grand Trunk Station. It is no longer used as a train station – presently a florist rents out the space. If you were to follow the tracks that pass the station, you’d end up down in Portland’s Old Port.

I’ve combined my love of loose pen and ink sketching with watercolor in this piece. I am considering this to be a study, though I’m not sure yet what exactly I’ll do with this scene next. But expect to see more art of this subject in the future. Thanks for looking!
