I love going to First Friday Art Walk in Portland, Maine. The Hay Building – in Congress Square at the intersection of Congress Street and Free Street – is probably my favorite building in Portland. It’s also one of the busiest spots during First Friday Art Walk – always lots of people there (both vendors selling their art and crafts or attendees milling around). I’m fairly new to watercolor still, and this was especially challenging for me as I’ve avoided painting people for the most part.
